This place is lovely. Even though it is older, it is well maintained and clean. I had a very comfortable stay. The staff really went above and beyond to be friendly and helpful. Also there is free breakfast and free parking!

Great hotel close to beach, stores, and lots of dining. Friendly staff and lots of parking
Hotel was in a nice area. Nice front desk staff. Bathroom was spacious. Really worked well for our needs.
Checking dude was pretty rude and arrogant to me. I’ve always booked and paid for my rooms using the Marriott bonvoy app. Apparently this time the room was not paid for through the app. I had to use card on the spot. Front desk man wanted to try and belittle me and say that’s not how it works. He continued to wanna correct me and even said, show me your credit card statement where you were billed so he could be proved wrong or right. Not one time did he recognize that I was even a bonvoy member or thank me for being one. He did not even mention any of the hotel amenities, or direct me to where the elevators were. But yet, still wanted to tell me how wrong I was. I’m a business traveler and have been for 25 years. This guy does not represent professional and really doesn’t care about the customers showing up to pay his check weekly. To his surprise the app does let you charge directly from the app! When you book a flex rate it will not allow the direct charge but hold the room . all other rates will be charge to the card on file. Rooms are somewhat outdated but expected for this old of a hotel. The living room in the suite did not have a Tv. Only Tv was in the bedroom. Room was clean
Hello, so my mother and I recently stayed here at the Spring Hill Suites in Hawthorne because of Crystal the Assistant GM, she goes over and above for her guests and is the best hotel manager I've dealt with in years. After our stay, I called and we chatted about some issues and she addressed them quickly, and she listens and is concerned about her guests well being, which is hard to find these days. We will be back to stay here again on our next trip to the South Bay because of her good service. Thanks so much again, Crystal! Chris.
I had a wonderful experience. The room was clean, comfortable, and well-equipped, providing everything I needed for a relaxing stay. The amenities were solid, and the location was convenient for my plans. What truly made my stay memorable, however, was the service. The staff went above and beyond in every interaction. From the warm welcome at check-in to their attentiveness throughout my stay, they made me feel genuinely valued. David at the front desk knows how to do his job and knows how to do it well! Whether it was assisting with special requests or offering helpful tips about the area, their friendly and professional demeanor added so much to my overall experience. If you're looking for a place where service is a priority, this place definitely delivers. I’ll certainly return based on the exceptional hospitality alone!
It was a bit chilly that night, so I asked the front desk for a blanket. A staff member later brought it to me, and I gave him a tip, but I quickly realized I'd received a bath towel, not a blanket. The staff member kindly exchanged it for a blanket and offered some kind words (sorry, I couldn't understand English at all). He was a very nice person. I was nervous about being abroad, so I was very grateful for something as simple as that.
Great service very clean
It was a good stay. Nothing really bad to say. Rooms could use some updating and attention but overall, rooms were great and the HVAC worked like is was supposed to. Good breakfast and friendly staff. Good for a stop over or passing through to a cruise or flight. No airport shuttle.
I have stayed at this hotel numerous times over the previous 10 years as it was close to my former employer. I could easily give it 5 stars during my earlier stays; however, that is no longer the case after my visit in January 2025. The hotel still has a decent location if you are going to do things in the surrounding cities -- Manhattan Beach, El Segundo, etc. It is still clean and relatively well-kept. However, there are some key reasons the hotel can longer merit 5 stars in my opinion. 1- There is a full-time security guard at the front desk area. This indicates there must have been some type of incident at the property or surrounding areas recently. 2- The hard furnishings in the rooms are showing their age -- carpets, sofas, furniture. It is not terrible, but it is obvious that the hard product is beyond its prime. 3- The EGREGIOUS and recently increased $22 parking fee is utterly ridiculous. The hotel is bordered by a metro train repair yard and a credit union. It does not sit next to a beach, an airport, or in a downtown area which might merit a hefty parking fee. You are literally parking in an open parking lot with no guarantees of vehicle saftey. There is no rate reduction for Marriott Bonvoy Elites either, and I am a TItanium member.
